Where It Comes From in the Bible: From 1 Kings 11:3 in the account of King Solomon, paired with Proverbs 4:23 ('Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life'). Though Solomon was gifted with unmatched wisdom, his unguarded heart became his blind spot, a sobering reminder that wisdom without a guarded heart still falls.
Solomon asked God for wisdom and got it. Then 1 Kings 11 happened. The back print is a woodcut of King Solomon in crimson and gold on a stepped temple dais, a winged-lion altar and open scrolls beside him, framed by twin gold pillars with NaskiCo sheep capitals under the gold halo-sheep medallion. The caption: "Marry 700 wives," they said. "It'll be fun," they said. Faith With A Spine.
