Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what an order or a waitlist signup actually needs, we do not sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it.
What we collect
- When you order: name, email, shipping and billing address, phone if you give it, and what you bought. Card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you join The Watch: your email address, and nothing else.
- When you browse: standard technical data such as IP address, browser, device type and pages viewed.
Why we hold it
To take payment, print and ship your order, deal with faults and returns, answer your emails, send you drop news if you asked for it, and keep the site working and secure.
Who else touches it
Only the services that make an order happen, and only the part they need:
- Shopify hosts the store and processes checkout.
- Our print partner receives your name, address and order so it can print and ship your parcel.
- Carriers receive your delivery address.
- Our email provider holds your email address if you subscribed.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
Marketing
You only get marketing email if you asked for it. Every email carries an unsubscribe link and it works immediately.
Cookies
The site uses cookies to keep your cart, remember your session and understand how pages are used. You can block cookies in your browser, though the cart will stop working properly if you do.
Where your data goes
Our providers may store and process data outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. We only use providers that commit to protecting it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as Australian tax and business law requires. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights in Australia
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or unsubscribe from marketing. Email hello@naskico.com and we will act within 30 days. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are unhappy with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area
The UK GDPR and the EU GDPR give you rights over your data, and they apply to you even though we are based in Australia. NaskiCo is the controller of the information described above.
We rely on four legal bases:
- Performing our contract with you covers taking payment, printing your order and getting it delivered.
- Your consent covers marketing email and any non-essential cookies. You can withdraw it whenever you like, and withdrawing it does not undo anything that was lawful before you did.
- Our legitimate interests cover keeping the site secure, preventing fraud, and understanding how pages are used.
- Legal obligation covers the tax and business records we are required to keep.
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form so you can take it somewhere else. Email hello@naskico.com and we will answer within one month.
When your data leaves the UK or the EEA we rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, or the UK equivalent, with the providers holding it. If you believe we have handled your data badly you can complain to your national supervisory authority, or to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.
If you are in California
The CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, gives California residents specific rights. In the past twelve months we have collected identifiers such as your name, email and address, commercial information about what you bought, and internet activity such as pages viewed. We collect it for the reasons set out above, from you directly and from how you use the site.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months, and we do not sell the personal information of anyone under sixteen.
You have the right to know what we hold, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, and to opt out of sale or sharing if that ever changes. We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what an order needs, so there is nothing for you to limit. Email hello@naskico.com to use any of these rights and we will answer within forty five days. We will never treat you differently for asking.
